Dr. Mightus Appalling is a mad scientist who makes a couple appearances in the Little Shop animated series.

This bespectacled German scientist generally wears Bermuda shorts with a suit jacket and bow-tie, which instantly gives an indication of his eccentric nature.
Dr. Appalling discovered how to reassemble atoms after they've been split, which won him the coveted Nobel Prize and landed him in "Lab and Garden" magazine as one of the 10 Best Dressed Nobel Prize winners. However, he's not above swiping the inventions of others, and does precisely that with a machine that Junior built.
Appalling starred in a series of educational films (that put most youngsters to sleep) called "Relentless March of Science" which include "Radiation: You Can't Touch This" and "Learning to Love Nuclear Winter."
