Frank Richard Oznowicz, professionally known as Frank Oz, is the director of the 1986 film adaptation of Little Shop of Horrors. Although he's done some noteworthy films as a director, Oz is most known for his work with Jim Henson and the Muppets, performing the characters Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal, Sam the Eagle, and Sesame Street's Bert, Grover, and Cookie Monster, among others.

In addition to co-directing the Henson fantasy The Dark Crystal, and taking the directorial reigns on The Muppets Take Manhattan, Oz directed Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, HouseSitter and Bowfinger (each starring Steve Martin), What About Bob? (starring Bill Murray), The Indian in the Cupboard, In and Out, The Score, Death at a Funeral and the 2004 remake of The Stepford Wives.
